I began cooking as a child, preparing meals from my Betty Crocker's New Boys and Girls Cookbook, and I haven't looked back. These days, my emphasis is on fresh, wholesome foods that not only taste great, but are good for you as well. In recent years, I've become a big fan of the local farmers' markets and try to support local farmers by purchasing locally-grown, seasonal produce whenever possible.
I have lived and worked in the Metrowest, MA, area since 1994. Before moving "out west," I worked at Formaggio Kitchen in Cambridge, MA. I am licensed, insured and ServSafe certified. I am a founding member of the Personal Chefs Cooperative, a member of the Independent Personal Chefs Network and a member of Women Chefs & Restaurateurs.
In my spare time, I enjoy running (at an embarassingly slow pace), reading, cooking for two local shelters, volunteering at my childrens' school and getting together with friends. The most treasured moment of my day is when my family sits down to dinner together.
